SINABI ng isang abogado na hindi pa kailangang mag-panic ni Sen. Grace Poe kaugnay ng pagkakadiskwalipika sa 2016 presidential race.
Idinagdag ni Atty. Romulo Macalintal na pwede pa rin niyang dalhin ang isyu sa Korte Suprema matapos naman ang desisyon ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) na ikansela ang kanyang Certificate of Candidacy (COC).
Sinabi pa ni Macalintal na hindi rin kailangan ni Poe na makakuha ng temporary restraining order (TRO) mula sa Kataastaasang Hukuman.
“The Supreme Court could issue appropriate orders at any stage of the case if it finds Poe’s motion meritorious, urgent and will violate her right to due process,” sabi pa ni Macalintal.
Nakatakdang maglabas ang Comelec ng “conditional ballots” bago ang pinal na pag-iimprenta ng mga balota sa Pebrero 2016.
“Since by that time Poe would have already filed her appeal to the SC from the Comelec’s decision, there is the possibility that the SC would consolidate the SET case and the Comelec cases to expedite their resolution since they have similar issues,” ayon pa kay Macalintal.
